Service to Palm Springs just got better with three new reasons to ride!

Traveling to the desert just got easier aboard Amtrak California. Caltrans has expanded its Amtrak California Thruway Bus service from Bakersfield to Palm Springs, adding three new prime desert destinations - Cabazon, Palm Desert and La Quinta.

ADVENTURE AWAITs!

The Palm Springs area isn't about what you're going to do, it's about what you're going to do next! Outdoor activities abound - including hiking, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, Tram rides and Jeep tours. If you would prefer a little afternoon “tee” - bring your clubs on board, and enjoy swinging your way "through the greens" at one of the area's many renowned golf courses. For those who prefer the finer things in life, this desert oasis boasts world-class shopping, dining, entertainment and lodging. After a long day of golfing or shopping, wind down and soak it up with a wrap or a rub at one of the area’s luxurious spa resorts. No matter what your preference, these newly added desert destinations offer something for everyone.

Cabazon – The Cabazon (CBZ) stop is conveniently located at the Morongo Casino Hotel, Resort and Spa, 49500 Seminole Drive, Cabazon, CA 92230. Cabazon features top name entertainment, gaming, and great shopping such as the Desert Hills Premium Outlets, and Cabazon Outlets. Cabazon offers excellent golfing at Tukwet Canyon Golf Club, home of the Southern California PGA. For more on dining, shopping, playing or staying in Cabazon, click here.

Palm Desert – The Palm Desert (PDC) stop is located at the Palm Desert Westfield Mall, 72-840 Highway 111, Palm Desert, CA 92260. Palm Desert is famous for its fine art and architecture, and features world-class golfing, tennis, dining, and shopping as well as a host of five-star resorts. For the more adventurous, Palm Desert offers outdoor adventure tours from hot air balloon rides to Jeep tours, as well as hiking, biking and horseback riding. For those who prefer the calm serenity of a spa experience, Palm Desert is a perfect getaway at one of their luxurious spa resorts. La Quinta – The La Quinta (LQT) stop is located at the La Quinta Town Center, Highway 111 and Adams, La Quinta, CA 92253. La Quinta, or “gem of the desert,” is a leading golf destination and home to the nationally-acclaimed Arnold Palmer Classic Course at SilverRock Resort, as well as home course of the Bob Hope Classic. Visitors can enjoy dining and shopping, take a stroll through the quaint Village area, bike along Bear Creek Trail or hike in the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto mountains. The area is also known for its award-winning La Quinta Arts Festival. For more information on dining, shopping, or staying in La Quinta, click here.
