Submitting Your Reservation Request
Reservation requests should be submitted at least 30 days prior to your desired travel date(s). Sorry, no exceptions will be made. Please be prepared to include two alternate dates of travel should your first and second choices be unavailable.
Complete and submit the Reservation Request form and fax it to (800) 872-3298. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the form. Acrobat Reader is available as a free download from adobe.com.
Please type or print legibly. Unreadable or incomplete Reservation Request forms will not be accepted. Note: Once you have submitted your reservation request, you cannot change dates, trains, schedules or number of passengers in your group. (You may substitute passengers, but will need to contact Amtrak prior to your date of departure).
Kids 'n Trains special low fares are based on space availability. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be denied if space is unavailable. Reservation requests may only be submitted for travel that occurs during the 2011-2012 Program Schedule.
If your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation letter by e-mail or fax within seven to ten working days from the date you submit your request. Your letter will include a reservation number, which you will need when purchasing your tickets.
For safety and security reasons, Amtrak requires the first and last names of all passengers traveling in your group (this includes all youth, leaders and chaperones). After you have received your reservation number, please submit your Passenger List to Amtrak via email to Amtrakemail@example.com or fax to 1-800-872-3298 before purchasing your tickets. If you need to make substitutions to your Passenger List, please contact Amtrakfirstname.lastname@example.org. Amtrak must be notified of the change prior to departure. If the change occurs on the date of departure, notify Amtrak as well as the Conductor.
