Purchasing Tickets
TICKET PURCHASING OPTIONS
Once you receive a confirmation letter from Amtrak with a reservation number, you may purchase your tickets using either of the two options below:
Option 1
You may elect to have your tickets shipped directly to you via FedEx. Tickets sent via FedEx will be charged a $15.00 shipping and handling fee. With this option, you may purchase tickets with a credit card or a personal check made payable to Amtrak. If you select to pay by credit card via telephone, call 877-872-2321 Monday-Friday between 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. For your protection, do not include credit card information on the Reservation Request form.
Please note: If you choose the personal check payment option, please include two checks. One check made payable to Amtrak in the amount due for your group travel tickets, and a separate check made payable to Amtrak in the amount of $15.00 to cover shipping and handling. Do not send in your payment until you know that your Reservation Request has been approved and you have received a reservation number from Amtrak.

Option 2
Tickets may be purchased in person at a staffed Amtrak station no later than seven days prior to your trip or your reservation is automatically cancelled. Please provide your reservation number to the ticket agent and tickets may be purchased by cash, credit card or business check made payable to Amtrak. (Personal checks and purchase orders are not accepted.)

Tickets must be purchased no later than seven days prior to your trip or your reservation is automatically cancelled.
Please note that once your Reservation Request has been submitted to Amtrak, no changes in dates, schedules or number of passengers is allowed. Your tickets are to be presented to the conductor on the train and they are nonrefundable, even if the total number of passengers traveling in your group is less than the paid amount. Please do not lose your tickets. Stolen or misplaced tickets will incur a nonrefundable $75 ticket replacement fee. Your group is not permitted to travel without a ticket.
Please note that the passenger name list must be submitted to the Group Desk prior to payment being received. Should the group have last-minute changes, they will be required to send a revised list via email, fax or mail. Your group will also be required to provide the train conductor with a passenger name list (with first and last names) of all those who will be traveling in your group, including leaders and chaperones.
