Parking Improvements Scheduled for Sacramento Valley Station POSTPONED
Update! July 23, 2008 - Please be advised that the closure of the Sacramento Valley Train Station parking lot scheduled for July 26/27 has been postponed. It is anticipated that the lot closure and resurfacing will occur within the next 30 days. All stakeholder's will be notified via email and public postings at the station.___________
The City of Sacramento, Department of Transportation will be re-surfacing and re-striping the front parking lot at the Sacramento Valley Station (SVS). Parking lot improvements will take place on the following weekends:
o July 19 (early am) through July 20 (midnight)
o July 26 (early am) through July 27 (midnight)
The SVS parking lot will re-open Monday mornings for daily commuters.
During construction, drivers can access the SVS lot by using the 2nd Street entrance. As an added convenience, additional parking is available at the Old Sacramento parking garage, located at 2nd and I Streets.
The main entrance located at 5th and I Street will not be available to drop off and pick up passengers. Passenger drop off and pick up will be located west of the station at 2nd and I Streets. Please follow detour signs.
