New Northern California/Southern Oregon Connection

Amtrak Thruway service connects San Joaquin Train 701 and 704 at Sacramento with Dunsmuir, Mount Shasta, Weed, Yreka, Ashland, OR and Medford, OR. 


New Amtrak Bus Stop in Elk Grove

Direct Amtrak Thruway service from the Laguna West area of Elk Grove to Stockton, where connections are made with San Joaquin trains to points throughout the San Joaquin Valley and Southern California.  The stop is located on Harbor Point Drive at Renwick Ave, just south of Laguna Blvd. 

ACE link to San Jose

Amtrak California passengers traveling on weekdays to Tracy, Livermore, Pleasanton, Fremont, Great America or San Jose on San Joaquin train 711, or returning from those points on trains 716 or 718 now use ACE trains instead of Amtrak Thruway buses.  A short shuttle bus ride connecs the two Stockton train stations.
