Frequency: San Joaquin trains operate six times in each direction 365 days per year. Amtrak motor coaches meet most trains for most destinations, be sure to check your schedule. At the present time, four round trips daily operate between the Bay Area and Bakersfield, and two round trips operate directly between Sacramento (no bus to Stockton) and Bakersfield.
Equipment types: San Joaquin trains are equipped with California locomotives and cars. California cars consist of coach seating cars, combination coach/baggage cars, and diner/lounges.
Onboard Amenities: San Joaquin trains offer complete meals, as well as snacks, beverages and sandwiches available for extra charge in the diner/lounge. Telephones are available on board.
