The Ontario Amtrak Station (228 S. Plum Street, 91764) is used by Antrak's three times weekly Sunset Limited trains and Amtrak California's daily Motorcoach service between the San Joaquin trains at Bakersfield and Calexico, with intermediate stops at Claremont, San Bernardino, Palm Springs, and Thousand Palms, Indio, Brawley, and El Centro.
Service on the Sunset Limited east of New Orleans, (New Orleans to Jacksonville, Florida) has been suspeneded by Amtrak and the railroad, although freight trains use the route daily. No alternative service is available on the route. For service to Florida from California, please check with Amtrak (1-800-USA-RAIL) .
The station is unstaffed. No Amtrak services (ticket sales, checked baggage, package express) are available at this station. The nearest station offering those services is Los Angeles. Passengers arriving in Ontario on evening San Joaquin motor coaches may request the driver to stop at Andy's Burgers, 310 East Holt Boulevard, effective April 2, 2007.
Ontario International Airport and the Ontario Convention Center are about two miles east of this station on Holt Boulevard.
The Chino Air Museum is approximately five miles south of this station on Euclid Avenue (State Highway 83).
Across the street from the Station is the Ontario Museum of History and Art, 225 South Euclid Avenue (909) 983-3198. It's open from Noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
