Van Nuys - FlyAway is NOT, strictly speaking, an Amtrak Station.
It is one of several bus stations with long term parking operated by the Los Angeles International Airport Commission to relieve parking at Los Angeles International Airport. For current Airport bus schedules and fares, visit their website
Van Nuys FlyAway is not staffed by Amtrak. For that reason, no ticket package express, or baggage services are provided. The nearest Amtrak station offering those services is Van Nuys Amtrak - Metrolink, on Van Nuys Blvd. For several years, Amtrak Motor Coaches operating on the Pacific Surfliner and San Joaquin Corridors have used FlyAway Terminal as a stop in the western San Fernando Valley. FlyAway is located on Woodley Avenue near the Van Nuys Airport.
With the opening of the Van Nuys Amtrak and Metrolink Station in Panorama City, Amtrak Motor Coaches make two stops in Van Nuys, at each of the Van Nuys Stations.
FlyAway Terminal has low-cost parking which Amtrak passengers may use, a staffed waiting room with vending machines, restrooms and telephones -- including some direct telephones to car rental agencies nearby. It is open 24 hour each day, seven days per week.
FlyAway employees should not be expected to know about Amtrak bus arrivals and departures at FlyAway Terminal. That information is available from Amtrak's toll free telephone number 1-800-USA-RAIL. Telephones are available inside the Terminal Building.
